Fernando and Silvia have been Cornerstone missionaries for many years. When Cornerstone first partnered with Fernando, he was serving as a pastor at Ebenezer Bible Church in Tijuana, Mexico where he was ordained in 2009. He faithfully shepherded the church there until he and Silvia prayerfully accepted the opportunity to participate in a Bible academy in Costa Rica, where they now help train and equip leaders for the church.

Fernando now serves as a professor with academiaministerialcristiana.com where he helps train and equip biblical leaders for ministry throughout the region. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Fernando was ordained as a pastor at their local church in Costa Rica (January 2026) and is currently working toward planting a new church closer to their home.

Silvia faithfully serves alongside Fernando in the ministry of the church. She disciples women, and assists Fernando in marriage counseling, and overall seeks to honor the Lord with the ministry He has put before them.

Fernando and Silvia have been married for over 20 years and are deeply grateful for God’s providence in allowing them to serve together in Costa Rica.
