Fellowship isn't just on Sunday Mornings
"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together,
as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the day approaching."
- Hebrews 10:24-25
The purpose of Community Groups is to encourage all believers to fulfill our mission statement of knowing Christ and making Him known. We believe this happens best in a small group context. Our Community Groups fulfill our mission in three ways: as Family, Missionaries, and Servants. Community groups are a vital part of Cornerstone Community Church. See below to get plugged in today!

Frequently asked questions
What is a Community Group?
Community Groups are small gatherings that meet weekly in someone’s home for fellowship, Bible study, and prayer. They are for people of all ages, stages of life, and spiritual maturity.
Why join a Community Group?
God never intended for us to live isolated from or independent of other Christians. Through participating in a Community Group, you will cultivate friendships that will help you in your spiritual growth. You will also help others in their pursuit of sanctification.
Is childcare provided for each group meeting?
We try to make groups accessible for the whole family. Some groups provide a level of childcare but each group decides how they do this.
When and where do groups meet?
Our groups meet Sundays-Wednesdays in homes in Atascadero, Templeton, Paso Robles, and San Luis Obispo.
How often do Community Groups meet?
Most groups meet weekly September - May, often breaking for holidays.
What do groups study?
Each group leader is trained to lead a discussion of the Bible text preached on Sunday morning. The desire is for everyone to move the Sunday message from the head (knowledge), to the heart (contemplation / motivation) and then to the hands (application). “But prove yourselves doers of the Word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves” James 1:22.
How long does each group meeting last?
Most groups meet for an hour-and-a-half or two hours.
What goes on at a group meeting?
Each group begins with a social time in the beginning, then transitions to a time of discussing the Bible text from the Sunday sermon, and close with a time of prayer. Some include music. More fellowship often follows.
