Community Groups – Get Connected Now!
As God blesses our church and we grow larger, we need to be growing smaller as well! Community Groups are an opportunity to gather together in small groups for discussion of Scripture, prayer, and caring for one another. Below, you will find a list of our current Community Groups and their leaders, as well as our FAQ regarding Community Groups. For more information, contact Mark Owens via email.

What is a Community Group?
Community Groups are groups of people that meet weekly in someone’s home for fellowship, Bible study, and prayer. They are for people of all ages, stages of life, and spiritual maturity.
Why join a Community Group?
God never intended for us to live isolated from or independent of other Christians. Through participating in a Community Group, you will cultivate friendships that will help you in your spiritual growth. You will also help others in their pursuit of sanctification.
Is childcare provided for each group meeting?
Childcare is not provided, but we try to accommodate the children in the meeting and then have supervision and activity for them during certain parts of the group meeting. Each group decides how they want to do this.
When and where do groups meet?
Our groups meet either Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday evenings in the home of a group member. You are encouraged to attend a group in your community. If the meeting day does not work for you, you are free to find a group that will work for your schedule.
How often do community groups meet?
Most groups meet weekly. They typically do not meet during the summer or over the holidays.
How long does a community group last?
Community Groups initially commit to meet for eight weeks. After those first eight weeks, the group members decide if they want to continue meeting together for the remainder of the year (taking breaks for holidays and the summer). Normally groups enjoy meeting so much that they will continue the following year.
How long does each group meeting last?
Each Community Group picks the length of time they will meet. However, most groups meet for an hour and a half to two hours.
What goes on at a group meeting?
Each group begins with a social time in the beginning, then they transition to a time where they discuss the Bible text from the Sunday sermon, and close with a time of prayer.
What do groups study?
Each group leader is trained to lead a discussion of the Bible text from the Sunday sermon. The desire is for everyone to move the Sunday message from the head (knowledge), to the heart (contemplation/motivation) and then to the hands (application). Knowledge without application is lifeless. “But prove yourselves doers of the Word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.” James 1:22
