What to Expect
Sundays at Cornerstone are very simple. We have two identical worship services at 8:45 and 10:45. In between we enjoy our Cornerstone Cafe, beginning at 10:00. The cafe is a time for enjoying fellowship and complimentary refreshments. Families from the first service stay late, and families from the second service arrive early, giving them the opportunity to fellowship and stay connected in each other’s lives.
Our worship service always includes singing of worshipful songs (some from ages past, some from today), reading Scripture, and hearing a sermon that explains a text from the Bible. The goal of our time is that we would know God better, love Him more, and be better equipped through our study of the Scriptures to serve Him daily. The sermon itself will usually be from a continuing series in a book of the Bible.
The “dress code” is simple: honor God with your apparel. Both men and women should dress modestly – we’re trying to focus on God, not ourselves.
Those in our congregation who want to give financially to the church may place their offering in the offering bags. During the first Sunday of the month we take two offerings, the second being for the Deacon’s Fund for those in our church struggling financially. If you are visiting with us, please do not feel obligated to give.
We are confident that as you participate in worship at Cornerstone you will grow in your love for Jesus Christ.
